Did you ever wonder why moles build molehills? Moles build molehills because they need to above the ground, to get some fresh air. But the most important reason: the soil that has been released by digging must be removed. For moles it is easy to push the soil upwards. The mole has its own territory under the ground. Digging is not very difficult for moles, becuase of their body shapes. The hairs of a mole are positioned in such a way so they can move in all directions and therefore do not get stuck in the ground.
